Kent’s Community Involvement

Because we care about our community and strongly believe in giving when we can, we proudly contribute time, financial assistance, and other resources to the following organizations and causes:

Rebuilding Together-Valparaiso

Kent Heating and Air Conditioning has been a major contributor or sponsor for 15 years running. This year we have already evaluated six homes, will do our best to work with our vendors for deep discounts, and we usually contribute labor for free as we normally do the work required prior to or immediately after the Saturday Work Day. The reason for this is simply there are so many people in the home that it affects our ability to do our work.

Porter County Aging and Community Services (PCACS)

On 9.20.2012, we accepted a request to assist a client that has not had an operable furnace for 2 years. Lennox Industries, Inc., with the help of our Territory Manager, Andrew Wingate, has donated a 92% AFUE furnace for the home.  Kent Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. will donate the labor, equipment, and materials to complete the job on September 28, 2012.

Home Builders Association of Northwest Indiana (formerly Porter County Builders Association)

Allen currently serves on the Board of Directors, and was Chairman of the PCBA Home and Garden Show at the Porter County Expo Center in 2008, 2009, and 2010, and received the highest honor in the organization: The 2009 Presidential Award.

Provides collegiate scholarships to student athletes who participate in track and field and/or football in memory of Kellen.

Each year we meet people in need and help where we can, such as gratis equipment or service for families experiencing medical catastrophes, the elderly with hardships, and others.
